I selected this photo because of the extreme amount of detail in such a small space. The photo is meant to lead the viewer's eyes down the wall from left to right. The texture of the all adds depth to the photo. The close part of the wall appears in focus and as you look from the left to right, the photo slowly starts to become out of focus. The cracks in the wall also contribute to the contrast of black and white in the photo.
I picked this photo because it has a healthy range of black and white levels. It shows the sunlight coming into the blinds and which are then creating a dark shadow off to the right. It also leads the viewer's eye down the blinds from left to right. The photo slowly goes out of focus as you move down it.
I selected this photo because of the eerie vibe this photo gives off. It is taken at a crooked angle with a slow shutter speed while I was practicing my panning techniques. The photo properly follows the rule of thirds. Seth, the man on the scooter, is in the right third of the photo and is clearly the subject of the photo. He is the only part of the photo that is in focus.
I chose this photo because of the outline that was created with a flashlight. It is taken at a straight on angle and the shutter speed is very slow. This was to allow the person that traced Seth to have enough time to do so. The only thing I wish I could change about this photo would be to have a completely back background.
I selected this photo because it is the best portrait I took. The lighting is coming in from the left, shading the right side of his face. The sweatshirt and the background almost blend together nearly creating a floating head. The conversion to black and white makes this phot even better because it provides a rich range of values.

I chose this photo because of how well the two images go together. Seth loves skiing and photographing landscapes so it is only fitting that I put a picture of Seth on the mountain. I converted Seth to black and white because it blends better with the background.
